Dearest Little Brother,
You’ve always been the favorite, and you know I’ve always done my best to spoil you rotten, Tommy. That’s why I didn’t forbid you from this little television venture you insisted on, even if it is terribly gauche and your behavior is risky not only for yourself but for the entire family.
Still, I admit your insistence on this rebellion has paid off. Papa has decided that there exists an excellent business opportunity in Missouri (I shudder to even say that. What is there in that state that anyone would want?). He has wanted to expand our Silverlight holdings, to diversify beyond film, for a while now and your inadvertent discovery of a market in St. Louis has pleased Papa greatly.
Unfortunately, Papa and I have been unable to find any credible sources of information on controlling interests in the area, and we suspect that our informants actively in the area have been compromised. So it falls to you to be our source of information on the court in St. Louis; we need to know whether they are amenable to the usual takeover methods. I know, you are having a wonderful time being a carefree exhibitionist on cable television, and I’m cruelty incarnate for asking you to get involved in family business. But really, Tommy, I’m just asking you to put your libido to good use for once; it’ll hardly even be an imposition. Those three you’ve gotten attached to aren’t going to hold your interest for long, and you will move on. I’m simply giving you a suggestion of who to move on to.
